A concept desperately missing from the cash grab game industry where a level 50 with stacked gear fights a level 20. This feels like a game created by fans for fans. Now just make a Bruce Lee style character with punches and kicks so Ican continue my commodore 64 flashback.. Reminds me of the good old RPG days! I really love this game! Definatly buy it if you love RPG's. Really good game. Only wish that online multiplayer would be an option, so i could play this great game with my friends!. great coop game with good progression in difficulty and fun combat. This is marked as "Full controller support". Steam Controller does not work at all for this game, at least not on macOS. I spent about an hour trying to get it to work with various different configurations and had no success. In fact, on multiple attempts the game became almost completely unresponsive to keyboard, mouse, and steam controller, with only the up and down inputs on the joystick being recognized. Very disappointing. Don't waste your time like I did.. This game is very fun but also can be sort of fustrating if you're not very patient. Took me a while to get use to the controls on keyboard and aren't bad with a controller. You can't really change the keybindings, there are 2 presets. The keybindings use the WASD and arrow keys as preset A and NUM keys with WASD keys as preset B (keyboard).Playing for about an hour at the time of the review, there's not a large variety of monsters, but there could be many I haven't got to yet. The two bosses I've been at right now seem to have familiar tactics and AI. But that hasnt stopped them from being unique from each other. (Of course) They are different creatures, but are the same as the smaller versions of them around the dungeons.The replayability is there, but may get old if you keep dieing. The dungeon will not change for a while until you die around 3-5 times before changing. Each time, you can get an item from (I'm going to call it the Chest) the Chest that makes you stronger. You can also upgrade the items with coins you find around the dungeons. There are two modes you can choose from when creating a character, one will only make you lose XP when you die and the other deleting your character completely. If you are into rouge-likes, hardcore is for you. but if you just want to play and enjoy the game for what it is, softcore is what you'll want. This game is interesting and would definitely recommend you to try this.. Played it with my gf.You kill, lvl up, and get gear. Simple and not so easy combat.I liked it. Definitely made for local co-op.I got some problems using ps3 control as gamepad and I hope they make a solution for this. I fell in love with this game in just 20 minutes into it ..The gameplay is fantastic and the pixel art is retro beautiful..It may need better support for mac keyboards but I think the game is better suited for a gamepad..Any way great game ,would love to see more games like this.
